Jo Ann Pickett

JoAnn Glesner Pickett, 88, of Hagerstown, passed away, Sunday, February 14, 2021 at Doey's House.
She was born on July 21, 1932 in Maugansville, Md. to the late, Samuel R. and Mary E. (Zinkand) Glesner. JoAnn was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. Pickett in 1975; a grandson, Joshua Pickett and two brothers, Eldon and Edwin Glesner.
She was a graduate of Hagerstown High School, class of 1950.
She was employed by Pangborn Corp; Kaylor, Spence and Wantz Law Firm and retired from the State of Maryland, Potomac Center in 1994.
She was a lifetime member of St. Johns Episcopal Church; Jo Ann was also a past member of Funkstown American Legion, Post 211 as well as TOPS Chapter 0046.
She enjoyed time with family and friends, traveling and reading.
JoAnn is survvied by two sons, Phillip Pickett and Patrick Pickett (Lisa) of Hagerstown; three grandchildren, Colson Pickett of Clear Spring, Darrell Pickett (Gigi) and Jamee Pickett and her son, Roman of Winter Haven, Fla. and several loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral and burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in JoAnn's name to St. Johns Episcopal Church, 101 S. Prospect St., Hagerstown, MD 21740.
