Johann Karl Messersmith

Johann Karl Messersmith, 58, of Cascade, Maryland passed away due to car accident on January 12, 2023.

Born in Maryland, he was the son of the late James Wallace Messersmith and Gerda Lang Messersmith.

He is survived by his mother, Gerda, son, Johann, of Oakland, Maryland, the love of his life and lifetime partner, Angela Mills, one sister, Theresa Messersmith of Texas, one brother, Terry Messersmith of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, Cindi Messersmith (cousin), numerous other cousins, nephews, nieces, and 7 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Ricky Messersmith. 

Johann was a hard worker, starting at a young age he swept floors in an auto shop and parking lot of Zayre department store. As a teen he worked on his own car and soon opened his own shop. He loved cars, dogs, music, and nature.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
