John Leonard Ramacciotti

John Leonard Ramacciotti, 86, passed away at Somerford Place on May 12, 2025.

Born May 4, 1939, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Leonard and Mildred (Zimmerman) Ramacciotti.

John is preceded in death by his sister, Sue Miller, and step-mother, Ruth Ramacciotti.

John graduated from South Hag. H.S. in 1957. He then served in the Navy for 4 years.

Before his retirement, he was employed at A.T. & T. Co., Jamison Door Co., and Tru*Serv.

He is survived by his wife, Katherine (Bender) Ramacciotti, whom he married May 7, 1988; a son, Eric Ramacciotti, of Big Pool, MD; two daughters, Beth Ramacciotti, of Frederick, MD, and Erica Johns, of Greenbelt, MD; two half-sisters, Lea Zimmerman, of Cincinnati, OH, and Dee Matthews of Washington, DC; and four grandchildren.

John donated his body to the Maryland State Anatomy Board.

A celebration of life service for John will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, Hagerstown, MD 21742.
