Judith Irene Schaeffer

Judith Irene Schaeffer, 76, of Hagerstown, passed away, Friday, March 10, 2023 at Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown.

Born September 9, 1946, in Hagerstown she was the daughter of the late, Robert and Irene Hazel (Faulders) Sours. In addition to her parents, she also was preceded in death by one son, Jason Gettel.

Mrs. Schaeffer worked as an underwriter for Brethren Mutual Insurance Company and had worked as a bank teller for Truist Bank.

She was an avid antique collector.

Mrs. Schaeffer is survived by her husband, Jack L. Schaeffer; two sons, John Gettel and wife, Deb and Aaron Gettel; seven grandchildren, Little Aaron, Alyssa, Jason, Ayrika, Allison, Ryan and Adam; a half sister, Nancy Muritz and a stepsister, Donna Jean Spigler.

At her request there will be no services.
