Karen Sue Smith, 55, of Hagerstown, passed away at Meritus Medical Center on Saturday, September 12, 2020.
Born on July 17, 1965 in Huntington, PA, Karen was the daughter of the late Robert Gutshall and Julia Jones. She is also predeceased by her brothers, Terry Gutshall and David Gutshall; and her sister, Gloria Baney.
Karen worked for Citi as a Customer Service Representative. She enjoyed cooking, shopping, and gardening.
Karen is survived by her husband of 23 years, Jeffrey Allen Smith. She is also survived by her child, Dana Smith; step-daughter Brittany Kowalski and husband, Kevin; and grandsons, Jacob and Dylan. She is also survived by her brother, Donald Rhone; and sister, Faith Anderson.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 18, 2020 at 12:00 PM at Rest Haven Cemetery with Deacon Lucky Baney officiating. A viewing will take place at Rest Haven Funeral Home one hour prior at 11:00 AM.
Rest Haven Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
