Kathryn Weaver Myers

Kathryn Ann Weaver Myers, age 69, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2023 at Doey’s House in Hagerstown, MD.  Her final moments were spent peacefully with her daughter and granddaughter by her side.  
Kathie was the only girl in her family and grew up with 3 brothers.  She was fearless and independent, yet sensitive and incredibly compassionate.  She was a 1972 graduate of North Hagerstown High School where she was a member of the color guard.  After high school, Kathie worked in accounting until she established her own business in 1985.  Kathie was the accomplished business owner of KnR Engraving for 30 years until she retired in 2015.  Since retiring she liked spending her time canning and doing crafts. One of her favorite places was the ocean. Kathie loved dolphins and scuba diving.  She visited Aruba on numerous occasions throughout her adult life as well as many other beaches.  
Kathie had an avid love for horses and loved showing her horse, Cajun in her early adult years. She also loved gardening and her favorite past-time was spending time with her grandchildren.
Kathie was a member of the Pocahontas Red Feather Council 59 of the Improved Order of Red Men and the American Legion Auxiliary.
She was the daughter of the late, William and Zella Weaver and preceded in death by her brother William Weaver, Jr. on November 30, 1992.  She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer McNew and husband Scott and two grandchildren, Autumn and Jackson McNew of Chambersburg, PA; a step-son, Brant Myers; two brothers, Gary and Steven Weaver; several nieces and nephews; her best friend, Marcie Milburn and her beloved poodle, Honey.  
Although Kathie will be dearly missed by all who knew her, she is free of suffering and delighted that she is reunited with her brother Billy, who she desperately missed since his passing.    
A celebration of life will be held at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Avenue Hagerstown, MD July 19, 2023. Family will receive friends at 1:00 pm and a service will be held at 2:00 pm following inurnment at Rest Haven Cemetery.
