Larry William Wright

Larry William Wright, 57, passed away on Monday, January 1, 2024, at his home with his loving family and the Lord by his side, after a courageous two year battle with cancer.
He was born on September 14, 1966, in Warrenton, Virginia. He graduated from South Hagerstown High School and served in the United States Marine Corp.
He was employed by the U.S. Department of Defense as a Facility Operations Supervisor at Fort Detrick in Frederick, Maryland. He previously worked many years as an electrician and later was the sole owner of his own electrical company after obtaining his Master Electrician License for the State of Maryland. He was a member of Williamsport Redman Tribe #84, Williamsport, MD. He was of the Baptist faith and held strong to his relationship with the Lord.

He enjoyed so many things in life and his family was always the most important. He was an incredible Husband, Father and Friend to many and always found ways to make each and every one feel special. Our love for the beach was so strong that together we built our own backyard beach oasis known as “Hinoki Beach” and “Wright’s Paradise”. We will cherish all the memories created on our special beach!
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eliza and Winston Robinson and sister, Julia Moore.

He is survived by his wife, truest love and best friend, Dena Wright and his children, Candace Stonebreaker and husband Mark Anthony of Falling Waters, WV, Joseph Keltner of Hagerstown, MD, Christine Showe and husband Kris of Sharpsburg, MD and Kasie Wright and companion, Megan Remsburg of WV and a total of 9 grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Jeff Wright and Michael Wright both of Virginia and brother-in-law, Steve Moore, of Virginia.
Per his wishes, there will be no services at this time. A private “Celebration of Life” will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Washington County, 1710 Underpass Way, Suite 300, Hagerstown, MD 21740 or any charity of choice.
