Lillian Virginia Landis Ridenour

Mrs. Lillian Virginia Landis Ridenour, formally from Hagerstown, Maryland, passed away Wednesday April 4, 2018 at Pennybyrn Maryfield facility in High Point, North Carolina.
Lillian was born May 11, 1915 in Falling Waters, West Virginia. She was the oldest daughter of the late Jesse and Jennie Davis Landis. She was preceded in death by her siblings James Landis, Rachel Landis Evans, Mildred Landis Morrill, Marie Landis Hartman, and Theodore Franklin Landis.
Lillian was married for many years until his death on February 1, 1980 to her soul mate Gaither C. Ridenour. Lillian graduated from Martinsburg High School. She always had a talent for numbers and worked for 25 years at the local J.C. Penney Company before retiring. Those that worked with her knew her to be a dedicated employee. She saw to it that everyone was accountable for daily transactions. Early in her marriage with Gaither they traveled out West which at the time was not easily done.
In her move down south in 2008, she was able to enjoy further associations with her only brother and extended family. These were memorable times spent visiting, eating, and playing bingo.
Funeral and interment service will be held Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 11:00 am at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown, Maryland, officiated by the Reverend Larry M. Cooper.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to a church or charity of ones choice.
