Linda Colleen Dawson, 73, of Hagerstown, passed away, Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at the University of Maryland Medical Center, Baltimore, Md.
Born July 3, 1947 in Hagerstown she was the daughter of the late, Andrew and Sylvia (Bernecker) McCarty. In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by her loving husband of 28 years, Roy Edward "Pete" Dawson; three siblings, Patricia Baumgarten, Andrew McCarty and Seibert McCarty.
Mrs. Dawson retired as an upholstery seamstress for Beachley Furniture, Hagerstown.
She enjoyed traveling and playing bingo.
She was a member of the Eagles Club Post No. 694 and the V.F.W. Post No. 1936, Hagerstown.
Mrs. Dawson is survived by six children, Shawn Hasenbuhler, Diane McAllister and husband, Doug, Judy Dean and husband, Dizzy, Thomas Dawson, Sr., Daniel Dawson and wife, Tina and Robert Dawson and wife, Kim; one sister, Claudia Suffecool; sixteen grandchildren; thirty one great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at Rest Haven Cemetery, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave. Hagerstown with Pastor Robert Robinson officiating.
