Mae Elizabeth "Snookie" Burcker
Born June 3, 1939 in Flintstone, Md. In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, George Alfred Burcker and one son, John Alt.
Her and her husband were active as foster parents for many years caring for teenage boys.
Mrs. Burcker had worked in law enforcement as a police officer in Montogmery County. In addition she worked as a cook for the Washington County Board of Education and as a bus driver for the Washington County Transit Authority (County Commuter).
Mrs. Burcker is survived by a granddaughter, Raquel Alt and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Rest Haven Cemetery, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown.
