Marie L. Brinton

Marie Lillard Brinton, 102 years and 11 months old, of Hagerstown, MD, went to be with her Savior on Wednesday, June 24 at Holly Place in Hagerstown.

She was born on July 16, 1917 in Hagerstown, MD to the late William Hudson and Olive Virginia (Campbell) Lillard.

Marie graduated from Hagerstown High School and Hagerstown Business College. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Hagerstown, MD and is believed to be the oldest living member of the church until her passing. She was also part owner of Le Mar Beauty Salon.

Marie was predeceased by her husband of 42 years, C. Stuart Brinton; her sister Betty J. Martin; and her brothers, William Hunter Lillard and Robert Lynwood Lillard. She is survived by her sister Jeanette Shupp and nieces and nephews.

In accordance with Marie's wishes, there will be a graveside service at Rest Haven Cemetery on Friday, June 26 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Bill Miller and Reverend Duane Musgrove officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Washington County.

Rest Haven Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
