Mary Catherine Kann

Mary Catherine Kann, 95, of Hagerstown, Maryland, passed away on December 16, 2023, at Doey’s House. 

Born on November 5, 1928, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late John Henry Russell and Helen (Clayburn) Russell. She worked for 10 years at the Ribbon Company and was a manager before working for more than 20 years as a dressmaker at E.J. Fennel Company, where she retired from. Mary enjoyed taking the opportunity to go out on long walks and spend time outdoors. She was also a lifetime member of Otterbein Church.

She is survived by her son Allen Leroy Kann and wife Linda; grandson, Michael B. Kann and wife Amy; brother, Ronald Russell and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Jack Kann and parents, she was proceeded in death by siblings, Aldene Russell, Robert Russell and Juanita Kann.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at 2pm at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21742.
