Mervin Robert Harsh

Mervin Robert Harsh, 91, of Greencastle, PA, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2025.

Mervin was born on September 6, 1934, in Sharpsburg, MD to the late Nelson Andrew Sr. and Thelma Catherine (Baker) Harsh.

In addition to his parents, Mervin was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jean (Talhelm) Harsh; sister Thelma; and twin brother Marvin.

Mervin was a proud hardworking man who retired from Rest Haven Cemetery after 30 years, he then spent 20 years employed at Walmart. He also enjoyed working on the farm with his brothers and loved his family.

Mervin is survived by his son, Mark C Harsh; grandson, Alexander M Harsh; sisters Pearl, and Mary Rose; brothers Nelson, Jr., Leroy, and David.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Avenue, Hagerstown, MD 21742. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mervin's name to Stroke Research Foundations, or, to Cancer Research Foundations in honor of his wife, Barbara.
