Mildred Viola Faulder

Mildred Viola (Crist) Faulder, 95, of Hagerstown, passed away Friday, Jan. 1, 2010, at Ravenwood Lutheran Village in Hagerstown.
Born Oct. 17, 1914, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Urban George and Audrey Catherine (Hower) Crist.
She was a dedicated, lifetime member and Sunday school teacher of Grace United Methodist Church in Hagerstown.
She retired at the age of 62 after many years in sales at Fleishers on the Square and Lana Lobells Dress Shops in Hagerstown.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Ralph Faulder, in 1968.
Mildred was the loving mother of a daughter, Constance L. Coss and husband, Herbert D., of West Friendship, Md., in Howard County; a caring grandmother to her two granddaughters, Julie Christmas and her husband, Timothy, of Richmond, Va., and Jennifer Ford and her husband, Christopher, of Woodbine, Md., in Howard County; and a grandson, Steven Coss of West Friendship, Howard County. Her four great-grandchildren, Audrey Ford, Caroline Ford, Trevor Christmas and Derek Christmas loved and knew her well. She had five nephews in Ohio, Pennsylvania and California.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mildred was also preceded in death by a sister, Irene Ruth Marsh; and a brother, Charles William Crist.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2010, at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with the Rev. Clark D. Carr officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends and family will be received one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
