Mistyann Michelle Owens

Mistyann Michelle Owens, 46, of Boonsboro, went home to be with Jesus on, Sunday, July 10, 2022, at Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, Pa.

Born, May 28, 1976 in Hagerstown,. Md., she was the daughter of Ann P. (Williams) Owens of Boonsboro and the late, William C. Owens, Sr. In addition to her father she also was preceded in death by a brother, Curtis.

Mistyann was a graduate of Boonsboro High School, where she sang in the choir. She had worked as an advocate for people with disabilities.

Mistyann was a member of Ebenezer United Brethren Church, Greencastle, Pa.

She enjoyed painting and the arts, playing ball, fishing, board games and cards, especially Uno. She loved animals and treasured raising her Golden Lab, Jonnie. She was a huge gospel music Ronnie McDowell and David King fan. Mistyann was an inspiration to everyone.

In addition to her mother, Ann, Mistyann is survived by two siblings, Frank L. Owens and Bonnie Ann Saunders; many nieces, nephews and cousins especially, Brittany Owens and Angella Rodriquez; special friends and family Carole Faulder, Joyce Fox, Karen Thorne, Dan Saunders, Ben Saunders and her caregiver, Stacy Socks.

Friends will be received on Friday, July 15, 2022 from 6-8 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown.

A celebration of Mistyann's life will be conducted on Saturday, July 16th at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Pastor David Grove officiating.

Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.

Special thanks to Chambersburg Hospital, Hershey Medical Center, her physical therapist Courtney Young and Pediatrics Movement Center and all the personnel that assisted Mistyann during her life.
