Nancy Carol Brezler

Nancy Carol (Ganoe) Brezler, 86, January 25, 1939 – July 21, 2025

Nancy was the daughter of the late John Harvey Ganoe and Madline Virginia Beard.

She attended St. Mary’s School.

She started her career working for Sears where she met her late husband of 48 years, David Edward Brezler. Nancy then worked for TwoGuy’s from opening day to the last day in Hagerstown. While there she was able to show her love for all feather, finned, or furry creatures running the pet department. After their closing, she worked for Hagerstown News Distributors that merged to form Mid – State Distributors until her retirement.

Nancy was a lifelong Yankees fan and was known by many with the nickname Mickey after her favorite pinstriper Mickey Mantle. She also followed Nascar with her main focus cheering for Rusty Wallace. Whether at home or in the car, you could always be sure the Oak Ridge Boys would be coming out of the speakers. She was able to travel all over and attended 39 concerts to see her favorite William Lee Golden.

Nancy is survived by her son Chris Brezler and wife Catherine (Katie) of Hagerstown. Brothers, Steven Ganoe of Chambersburg, PA, Gary Nutter of Big Cove Tannrey, PA. Sister, Joann Nutter of Hagerstown. Step-son Randy Brezler and wife Julie of Port Orchard, WA. Step-daughter, Phadette Brezler of Arlington, WA. Her two closest grandsons, Graham and Mason Brezler. Many step grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband David E. Brezler, brothers Jack Ganoe, Greg Nutter, Donald Nutter, sisters Pat Morgan, Peggy Mowen, two stepsons Robert Brezler and David Brezler.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Humane Society of Washington County.
