Naomi Berger Tosten, 73, of Hagerstown, passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2019, at her home, while surrounded by her loving family.
Born June 28, 1945, in Kew Gardens, New York, she was the daughter of the late Irving and Mildred (Modell) Berger.
She was an active member of Breast Cancer Awareness -Cumberland Valley (BCA-CV).
Naomi retired from Robinwood Orthopedics (Center for Advanced Orthopedics, Hagerstown).
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two sisters, Joyce Leila Berger Oberkreser and Sandra Berger Corona Boesch.
Naomi is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, John R. Tosten, Jr., whom she married on November 19, 1965; a son, Timothy J. Tosten of Urbana, MD.; a daughter, Shannon M. Ott and husband Robert of Brigantine, NJ; a very special granddaughter, Natalie Kirsten Ott, attending West Virginia University in Morgantown, WV; nieces and nephews, including special nieces, Lesley Coble and Lynda Branton of Florida; several cousins and great-nieces and nephews.
It was her request to have no public viewing.
The family will receive friends from 2-4pm on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, MD.
Inurnment will be held privately in Rest Haven Cemetery.
The family would like to give a very special thank you to the staff at John R. Marsh Cancer Center for their great care and assistance through these last three years of hard times. We are very thankful for the comfort provided by hospice care, especially Angie, Deb, Tonya, and Sarah.
