Pat Kline of Hagerstown, MD died on Thursday, March 14, 2013, at the University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore after a short courageous battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.

Pat was born on September 27, 1951, to the late Thomas J. and Anna Updegraff Kline in Mechanicsburg, PA. He was raised in New Cumberland, PA, was a graduate of Trinity High School in Camp Hill, PA and was an honors graduate of Shippensburg University with a BS degree in Business/Accounting.

Pat was a Certified Public Accountant first working for Smith Elliott Kearns and Company in Hagerstown, MD. Later in his career he opened his own firm, Kline and Company in 1991. Pat's commitment to his profession and his clients was second to none.

He was a member of the BPOE #378 In Hagerstown, MD and the Longmeadow Rotary Club, where he was the Rotary Foundation Treasurer. Pat was committed to his community, a quiet man of action, who helped many while never expecting anything in return. He was a car and racing enthusiast, who never met a car or engine he did not like.

Pat was a devout Catholic and member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Hagerstown, MD, where he was the long-standing chairman of the finance committee and a strong, enthusiastic supporter of Catholic education at St. Mary Catholic School and St. Maria Goretti High School.

He is survived by his loving wife, Judy Sherin Kline, whom he married on October 11, 1975, his sister, Roseann Nebinger, of New Cumberland, PA, his brother, Tim Kline and wife, Jean, of New Cumberland PA, his goddaughter and niece, Natelle Nebinger, of New Cumberland, PA, his great-nephew, Jake Roth, of Harrisburg, PA, his goddaughter, Ellen Joliet, of Hagerstown, MD, a niece, Danielle, and numerous cousins and close friends.

A Catholic Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 18, 2013 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 224 West Washington Street, Hagerstown with Rev. George Limmer as celebrant.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4-7 p.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Avenue, Hagerstown. A Christian Wake Service will be held at 6:30pm.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Catholic School, 218 West Washington Street, Hagerstown, Md.
