Pauline Helen White

Pauline Helen White, 102, of Hagerstown, MD passed away peacefully on July 28, 2025, at Williamsport Nursing Home. Born February 28, 1923, in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Helen Gordon.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Thomas “Buck” White Jr.; her sisters, Catherine Wolfe and Patsy Barnhart; and her stepson, Frederick Walter White.

Pauline’s journey was not without its challenges. Widowed at a very young age, she faced life with formidable strength and grace. Single-handedly, she raised her two young children while also managing the family finances and navigating the struggles of life as a single parent. Her commitment was unwavering. Pauline a devoted Christian worked diligently at Fairchild and Two Guys for many years, all with the steadfast purpose of providing her children with a carefree life, free of worries.

Home was where Pauline’s heart thrived. She cherished the house she called home for an astounding 65 years, where she dedicated herself to nurturing a vibrant flower garden that brought her immense joy and happiness. A true homebody at heart. She found joy in the pleasures of holiday dinners, picnics, and social gatherings with her beloved family. Her family was always her number one priority. She cherished them fiercely, dedicating her time, patience, and boundless strength to ensure their happiness.

She leaves behind her beloved children, daughter Mary Helen Lemen and husband Ralph Melvin Lemen; son Frederick Thomas White III and companion Ronda Sisk; grandchildren Chad Lemen (Shannon) Shannon Ridgley (Rodney), Mason Lemen, Michelle White, and Heather Hernandez -White (Cristian), great grandchildren; Emily Evartt (Jacob), and Javarion Jackson.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home 1601 Pennsylvania Avenue., Hagerstown, MD 21742 following interment at Rest Haven Cemetery.
