Peggy Elaine Sprecher Kinsey

Peggy Sprecher Kinsey, 89, of Hagerstown passed away on Monday, November 21, 2022 at Doey’s House surrounded by her family.

Born January 10, 1933 in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Floyd Myers, Sr. and Grace (Barton) Myers.

Peggy was a Nursing Assistant at Washington County Hospital for over 30 years.  After her retirement, she continued to care for others as a private caregiver.  She enjoyed eating out, shopping, writing poetry, bowling, going to the North American Rod and Gun Club, and spending time with her family.  Peggy was a lifetime member of Beaver Creek Christian Church.

She is survived by her son, David Sprecher (Sue), daughter, Vicki Cramer (Sonny), and her grandchildren, Tony Lida, Peggy Crawford, Sherri Cramer, Jodi Perkins, Jason Cramer, Eric Sprecher, and Tara Sprecher.  She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Luther “Ells” Sprecher, daughter, Patsy Lida, brothers, Floyd Jr., Jack, Richard, and Butch Myers and sisters, Violet Cramer, Rose Davis, and Leona Peterson.

The family will receive friends at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Avenue, Hagerstown on Tuesday, November 29 from 11-12 noon with the service immediately following.  Please dress casually.  Internment will be in Cedar Lawn Cemetery.

In addition to flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Doey’s House, 11370 Caring Path Lane, Hagerstown, MD  21742.
