Penelope S. "Penny" Bohn

Penelope Stottlemyer "Penny" Bohn, 81, of Hagerstown, Md., passed away, Friday, May 3, 2024, at Brightview Perry Hall, Nottingham, Md. with her children at her side.
 
Born November 12, 1942 in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Charles Luther and Helen Elizabeth (Crist) Stottlemyer. In addition to her parents, she also was preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years, Ronald Lee Bohn on January 30, 2012.
 
She attended South Hagerstown High School and Columbia Business College.
 
Penny was retired after previously being employed at Potomac Edison and Jackie Shaw Studio. She was a talented artist with an affinity for tole painting and enjoyed many hobbies including craft making, cooking and baking, gardening, decorating, reading, and collecting antiques. She operated her own small craft business, Common ₵ents Handcrafts, displaying and selling her work at local craft fairs. She also loved the beach, especially vacationing in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
 
Penny is survived by two children, Brian Bohn (wife Susan) of Bel Air, Md. and Tracey Steiner (husband Adam) of Fairfax, Va. and four grandchildren, Aidan and Leah Bohn; Cole and Jackson Steiner.
 
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Avenue, Hagerstown. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum at Rest Haven Cemetery.
 
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday, May 10 from 6-8 p.m. and on Saturday, May 11 one hour prior to the service.
