Phyllis Lorraine Marquiss

Phyllis Lorraine (Miner) Marquiss, 94, of Greencastle, Pa., passed away, Thursday, February 23, 2023, at WellSpan Chambersburg Hospital.

Born October 20, 1928, in Cavetown, Md. she was the daughter of the late, Albert L. and Ethel M. (Sheely) Miner. In addition to her parents, she also was preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, Robert D. Marquiss.

Mrs. Marquiss was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Temple, Hagerstown and the Coseytown Homemakers Club.

She retired in 1983 from Fairchild Aircraft Manufacturing Corporation, Hagerstown.

Mrs. Marquiss is survived by three children, Thomas Marquiss (Charlene) of Greencastle, Barbara (Marquiss) Bauserman (Mark Weiner) of Ashland, Va. and Steven Marquiss (Beth) of Mechanicsburg, Pa.; one sister, Delores A. Fanto of Alpharetta, Ga.; ten grandchildren,Jennifer Smith, Matthew Marquiss (Gwen), Suzanne Cavender (GB), Rebecca Shank, Matthew Bauserman (Logan), Joshua Bauserman, Seth Bauserman (Kelsey), Micah Bauserman (Haley), Jason Marquiss (Kathryn), Megan Meyers (Chris) and fifteen great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at 1:00 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Pastor Jeff Messer officiating.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from 12 noon until the time of the service.

Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Phyllis's name to her church, Emmanuel Baptist Temple or Emmanuel Christian School, 16221 National Pike, Hagerstown, MD 21740
