Raymond Edward Moats

Raymond Edward Moats, 75, of Hagerstown, Md. passed away, Sunday, May 9, 2021 at Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown.
Born May 7, 1946 in Hagerstown he was the son of the late, Leon R. and Florence E. (Sharon) Moats. In addition to his parents he also was preceded in death by three siblings, Deloris I. Kidwell, Leonard Moats and Nancy Kidwell.
Mr. Moats was a 1964 graduate of South Hagerstown High School.
He was Christian by faith and a member of the Y.M.C.A. and the North American Rod and Gun Club, both of Hagerstown.
He retired from Statton Furniture Manufacturing Co. where he was a furniture builder for 44 years.
Mr. Moats is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Mary E. (Martin) Moats; one son, Ryan B. Moats and wife Kellie M.; two grandchildren which were the love of his life, Katherine E. and Natalie A. Moats and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
