Robert "Bob" Henry Heck

Robert “Bob” Henry Heck, 96, of Hagerstown Maryland passed away, Monday, June 30, 2025 at Doey’s House, Hagerstown MD.

Born November 25, 1928 in Olean, New York he was the son of the late, Henry Heck and Florence (Wheeler) Heck. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Betty, son, Jeffrey, son-in-law, Ward Duffey, and his daughter-in-law, Anita Heck.

Bob was a member of John Wesley United Methodist Church, Hagerstown, where he was a member of the choir, with his wife, Betty. Bob was the Finance Director for the church for many years.

He was a member of the Valley Art Association where he supported his wife Betty and others with picture framing and matting services. He sang in the St Cecilia Choral Society and was an avid gardener.

Bob spent most of his career at Mack Trucks/Volvo, Hagerstown Md where he held analyst and management roles in Manufacturing Information Systems.

Bob is survived by three children, Deborah Duffey, Hagerstown, Pam Downin (Robert III), Falling Waters, W.Va. and Doug Heck (Susan), Sykesville, Md.; five grandchildren, Lori Baughman, Sean Duffey and James Heck, Hagerstown, Heather Butts, Falling Waters, and Robert Downin IV, Fort White, FL. and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Rev. Doug Hoffman officiating.

Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday, July 10th from 12 noon to 1 P.M.
