Robert Smith

Robert "Bobby/Rob" Edward Smith, 37, died unexpectedly in his fathers home on Wednesday, November 13, 2019. Born on January 8, 1982, in Hagerstown, MD, Robert was the son of Gregory Elwood Smith of Greencastle, PA and the late Beverly Ann Smith (Comer). Robert lived his childhood days in Greencastle, PA and later resided with his Nana in Hagerstown, MD. Robert attended Greencastle High School.
Robert is preceded in death by his mother, Beverly Ann Smith (Comer); his beloved Nana, Catherine Louise Miller; his maternal grandfather, Howard Miller; his paternal grandfather, Ralph J. Smith; and his paternal grandmother, Mamie R. Smith.
Robert is survived by his son, Austin Kasper Lee Lewis of Conway, SC; his father, Gregory Elwood Smith of Greencastle, PA; his brother, Daniel Smith and his wife, Stefanie Breneman-Smith of Greencastle, PA; his sister, Angela Smith of Chambersburg, PA; his aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Smith, and his nephews and niece - Kameron, Kaleb and Kyleigh Smith of Greencastle, PA.
Robert will be remembered as a caring man who always went out of his way to help others. Robert greatly enjoyed music, he loved his family deeply and was very proud of his son and niece and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Friday, November 22, 2019 from 5:30-7:30 pm and a small memorial service will follow at 7:30pm at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Avenue, Hagerstown, MD.
