Ronald Alfred Conrad

Ronald Alfred Conrad, 85, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on September 4, 2025. Born on February 19, 1940, he was the son of the late William Conrad and Clara (Sanders) Conrad.

Ron graduated from Waynesboro High School in 1958. He retired from Mack Trucks and went on to work in sales for Oliver Homes and finally Conrad Homes. He was an Army veteran, having served his country from 1958-1963. In the early 1960’s, he was a part of the Waynesboro Tigers semi-pro football team where he played lineman. He greatly enjoyed watching sports on tv, especially Penn State football. Design was an interest of his, the historic Williamsburg style in particular.

Ron is survived by his wife of 58 years, Nancy (Keller) Conrad; son, Michael Conrad (Lisa); grandchildren, Cole Conrad (Avery), and Max Conrad; brothers, Allen Conrad, and William Conrad (Anne); sister, Irene Knepper (Gene); and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service for Ron will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Rest Haven Cemetery with a visitation one hour prior at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Avenue, Hagerstown, MD 21742. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Humane Society of Washington County.
