Rosalie Virginia Jones

Rosalie Virginia (Gigeous) Jones, 89, of Falling Waters, WV, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2022, at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, MD.

Born June 26, 1933, in Washington Co., MD, she was the daughter of the late Alvey and Naomi Gigeous. In addition to her parents, Rosalie was preceded in death by her lifelong partner, Donald "Donnie" Chaney; brother, Gerald Gigeous; sister, Judy Mann; grandson, Joshua Cook; son-in-law, John Manning; and brothers-in-law, Bruce Warrenfeltz and Donald Slifer.

Rosalie was a homemaker who was extremely family oriented. She loved to cook and share recipes with everyone in the family; a love that led to a family cookbook full of passed-down recipes.

In her spare time Rosalie enjoyed shopping, singing, playing bingo, and most of all, spending time with her beloved dogs.

Rosalie is survived by daughters, Kim Gordon and husband Glenn, Lisa Ausherman, and Tammy Manning; son, Richard Violet; grandchildren, John Manning, Jason Manning and girlfriend Tomi, Jesse Manning, and Casey Ausherman; great grandchildren; sisters, Genevieve Warrenfeltz and Connie Slifer; brother, Maynard Gigeous; brother-in-law, Roy Mann, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Friday, October 21, 2022, at 6:00 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21742.

Friends will be received one hour prior at the funeral home.
