Ross "Jimmy" Roberts, Jr.

Ross "Jimmy" Roberts, Jr., 95, of Hagerstown, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Creekside Nursing Home, Hagerstown.
Born on June 30, 1926 in Fairplay, MD, he was the son of the late Gladys Amelia (Shipley) and Ross Roberts, Sr.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Armeda M. (Morris) Roberts; and Step Sons, Gregory Barthlow and Roger Barthlow.
Jimmy served in the U.S. Army Air Force and served in WWII.
He retired after 43 years from Security Cement Plant.
Jimmy was a life member of Shiloh United Methodist Church. He also belonged to Morris Frock American Legion, Post 42 and Hagerstown F.O.E #694. He enjoyed spending time with family, gardening, fishing and was an avid trapper.
He is survived by his daughter; Cheryl Metz and husband Chuck of Hagerstown; Grandchildren; Adam Metz (Jennifer) and their son, Matthew, and Amy Metz; Step Grandson; Wes Barthlow (Natalie) and their children, Justin and Ashley Barthlow; and Step Daughter in Law, Sharon Barthlow and her children, Kevin Barthlow and Amy Willis.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at 10 AM at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Pastor Dionne Hall officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.
Family will receive friends Monday, June 20 from 6-8 PM at the Funeral Home.
The wearing of masks are encouraged for visitors to the services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Shiloh United Methodist Church, 19731 Shiloh Church Rd., Hagerstown, MD 21742.
