Rusty Allen Peck

Rusty Allen Peck was born in Big Pool, Maryland on June 29th, 1949, to the late Lawrence and Nora Shoemaker Peck. Rusty was the youngest of five children, He is survived by his brother James Peck, and wife Opal. He was preceded in death by his sisters Virginia Peck Baker, and Dorothy Peck Gorden, and his brother Harry Peck. 

Rusty passed on July 22nd, 2024, at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, MD. Rusty lived with his elderly mother until February 1985 when he moved into his new home with the Washington County Human Development Council. Rusty attended the Washington County Human Development Council Day Program until October 2020 when he retired. 

Rusty loved racing cars and enjoyed going to the Hagerstown Speedway. He also enjoyed reading his newspapers, checking the mail daily, eating out, and visiting his close friends Tom Avey and Andrea Brown. He also enjoyed spending time with his friends Conway Sterling and Jay Seipler.

Rusty will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and caregivers. 

A funeral service will be held on July 25, 2024, at 11:00 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Avenue Hagerstown, Maryland 21742 with Pastor Jay Seipler officiating.

Receiving of friends 1 hour prior.

Burial at Blair's Valley Cemetery will be private.
