Ruth Ellen Crowe

Ruth Ellen (Weiser) Crowe, 78, of Lexington Park, MD passed away peacefully Friday, August 23, 2019 at Chesapeake Shores Nursing Center, in Lexington Park, while surrounded by her loving family.
Born January 8, 1941 in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Woodrow and Nellie Younker. She moved to Lexington Park, MD in 1968 and has been a resident for 51 years of Southern Maryland.
She was an accomplished business manager and retired as a child-care professional after 30 years. She loved spending time with her family and many friends. She enjoyed watching the children she cared for grow up to become wonderful adults. She was an enthusiastic NASCAR fan and enjoyed travelling with her husband Terry to many racing events in their motor home or spending the weekend with many friends at "The Club" Lake Gaston resort in Lake Gaston, Virginia.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son, John Dudley Marshall (Jenny) and by three siblings; Floyd Weiser, Sam Weiser and Allen Weiser.
She is survived by her husband Terry M. Crowe of 48 years, four children, son Robert Marshall and wife Cyndi of St. John, IN, daughter Robin Long and husband Frank of Charlotte Hall MD, son Earl Childress and wife June of Houston TX, and son Carl Crowe and wife Jolecia of Mount Savage, MD , 14 grandchildren, Bonnie, Anna, Rebecca, Katie, Ben, Jeremy, Justin, Courtney, Calvin, Colin and Hayden, Ashtin, Jason and Josh, along with 22 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, September 3, 2019, at the Rest Haven Funeral Home Inc. 1601 Pennsylvania Avenue, Hagerstown, MD 21742 followed by a graveside service.
