Ryan Terell Kerns-Thomas

Ryan Terell Kerns-Thomas of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on April 14, 2024. He was the son of Norweena (Thomas) Lewen and Terence Kerns. He was born August 9, 1992, in Montgomery County, MD.

Ryan could make everyone around him smile, laugh, and feel comfortable no matter the situation. He had the absolute biggest heart and would go out of his way to do for others and make them feel special. His smile, laughter, and radiant personality were infectious and lit up any room he was in. He was the life of the party. His most admired trait was how he deeply loved and cared for his family and friends, as well as the love of his life, Megan Walling. Ryan's love was a special kind of love that can't be easily put into words. He was a constant ray of light. All who knew him felt it. Most of all, he truly loved his "Mudder" ! If you knew him; you knew his mother without meeting her!

Ryan had a passion for speed. He began building his own race car in his early 20s. The first one earned him the name French! He also loved to ride; he finally settled on a Harley after buying about ten different motorcycles. Ryan was also a huge seafood lover, which included crab, shrimp, and fish. He couldn't get enough. His favorite place to eat was at the "Hot Pot". Being a trucker, he loved the open road. His favorite state to travel to was Florida. Ryan was an avid movie consumer, and chances are there would be at least one movie quote in any conversation held with him. Not only could he tell you about every actor in the movie, but his memory was one of a kind. He prided himself on his Intelligence.

Ryan also loved fishing, boating, family vacations, and most of all, cooking to perfection. Ryan loved to spend time with his children and his fiance.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by the love of his life Megan; his children Sophia, Ryshaud, Raelynn, Rykel, Ryleyah, Rya Rose and Shalynn; his brothers, Frank Terrance Jr. and Zamani and his sisters, Maleyah and Shantelle and host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was also preceded in death by his grandmother, Nora Boyd and Vivian Kerns, and grandfather, Herman Thomas. He leaves to cherish countless family and friends who loved him like family (NFFN).

A funeral service for Ryan Terell Kerns-Thomas will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. with a visitation two hours prior, from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Avenue, Hagerstown, Maryland 21742.
