“The Lord is close to broken hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit”
-Psalm 34:18
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the tragic and unexpected passing of Santiago Quinteros, age 16, a cherished son, brother, and friend.
Santiago was the beloved son of Mirian N. Quinteros Jimenez and Jose L. Quinteros, who are deeply heartbroken by this unimaginable loss. A rising junior at North Hagerstown High School, Santiago had just completed his sophomore year. He was a bright, active, and compassionate young man who brought light to everyone who knew him.
Santiago loved playing soccer, working on cars alongside his father—his best friend—and spending time with his dog, Ginger. He adored his three younger siblings, Samuel, Jose Jr., and Sara, and was a constant source of joy, laughter, and guidance in their lives.
Known for his kindness, honesty, and helpful nature, Santiago left a lasting impression on all who met him. He had a true passion for life—enjoying snowboarding, practicing taekwondo, and staying active at the gym.
Whether lending a hand to someone in need of cheering up a friend, he lived with a quiet strength and generosity that belied his age.
Santiago's absence leaves an indescribable void in the hearts of his family and friends. His spirit, love, and memories will remain forever with those who had the honor of knowing him.
Details regarding services and memorials will be shared by the family at a later time.
