Shelly Miller

Shelly Miller, 50, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on Friday, September 23, 2022, at Doey's House.

Born June 21, 1972, in Houston, TX, she was the daughter of Lynn Francis and the late Robert Richard Brittain. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her family dog, Triever.

Shelly was a very proud Texas Girl. She loved comforting people, which was a quality she used in her career as a licensed practical nurse at MCTC. When she wasn't at work, Shelly was a homebody that loved makeup, watching scary movies, crocheting, and collecting crystals. She also greatly enjoyed listening to music and attending concerts especially AC/DC, Pink Floyd, and the Rolling Stones.

One of her favorite past times was storm chasing, a passion that was gifted to her and her children. Shelly loved being a mom; she was a very proud mother to her two daughters and Navy son. Every day with her children was called, "The Best Day Ever."

Shelly was a creative, smart, and beautiful individual who was a free spirit.

In addition to her mama, she is survived by her three cherished children; two daughters, Jordan "George" and Lindsay "Loubug"; and one son, Christopher "Bubba"; three grandchildren, Braxton, Vivian, and Emma; sister, Dana "Bird"; former spouse, Chris "Papa Bear", and many close friends. 

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave. Hagerstown, with Reverend Laye officiating.

Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, from 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
