Shirley Ann Snodderly, 75, of Hagerstown, passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown.
Born March 27, 1944 in Hagerstown, she was the only daughter of the late Ralph Samuel and Ethel Elmira (McLanathan) Gray. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Raymond Rummel Snodderly, who died May 8, 2013.
Shirley was a 1963 graduate of North Hagerstown High School.
She appreciated the dedication of being a homemaker for her family.
She was a member of The Good Shepherd Ministries in Hagerstown. She enjoyed her time in the church nursery on Sunday mornings. Shirley and her late husband were members of the Awana Club and enjoyed being active in youth church services as part time instructors. Church was very important to Shirley. She faithfully attended every Sunday and looked forward to it.
Shirley also loved to travel. Day trips to Ocean City, Md, turned into a yearly family trips that she looked forward to. Her love of Elvis took her to visit Graceland in Tennessee and her adoration for Mickey Mouse took her to visit Disney World.
Shirley is survived by her three children, Tony Snodderly and wife Jackie, Darrin Snodderly, and Janet Snodderly; her grandson, that she adored, Matthew R. Snodderly; several aunts and uncles in Michigan; and her faithful dog, Harlie Girl, who followed Shirley every where she went.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00am on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at The Good Shepherd Ministries, 19763 Longmeadow Rd, Hagerstown, with Pastors Steve McCullough and Kenneth Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Friday evening at Rest Haven Funeral Home, Hagerstown.
