Shirley Ann Weaver, 94, of Maugansvillle, MD, passed away peacefully at Doey’s House on Saturday, May 11, 2024.  She was born in Saginaw, Michigan on April 22, 1930.   She was proceeded in death by her husband, Ralph Weaver, her parents, Mrytle Lou Still and George Clinton and five siblings.   

Shirley is survived by her children, Michael Weaver and wife Belinda, Kathy Strine and husband, Bill and Dennis Weaver.  She is blessed and survived by six grandchildren: Jennifer King-Harris; Steve Strine and wife, Allison; Brandon Weaver and wife, Marie; Jesse Weaver and wife, Merrick, Matthew Strine and Lindsay Weaver.  Bringing her much joy are her nine great grandchildren, Isaiah Fallenstar, Emerson, Harrison and Reagan Strine, Chloe, Apolline and Juliette Weaver, and Coltrane and Indira Weaver.

After acquiring her GED, Shirley procured her license in Electrolysis.  She owned her own business until her retirement.  She was a member of Salem Reformed Church of Cearfoss where she and Ralph volunteered many hours.  They also volunteered for Hospice for several years.  Ralph and Shirley loved to travel and they were able to visit all 50 states of the United States.  After Ralph’s death in 2012, Shirley traveled with her daughter and daughter-in-law(s) to Italy, France, London, Scotland and Ireland.

The last eleven months of Shirley’s life were spent at Coffman Nursing Home, where she was well cared for by all the staff.  She made many wonderful friends while at Coffman’s, including other residents and staff members.

A grave side service will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Rest Haven Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Shirley Weaver to Doey’s House, c/o of Hospice of Washington County, Hagerstown, MD  21740

Our family would like to extend a very special thank you to Faith Martin, the staff at, Coffman Nursing Home, Meritus Medical Center and Doey’s House for the wonderful care provided to our mother.
