Steven John Hultman
Born July 11th, 1961 in Kane, PA, he was the son of the late William “Bill” Hultman and Carolyn
(Champlin) Stanko.
He and his wife of nearly 25 years, Bethany A. (Stains) Hultman, were married on March 20th, 1999 in
Chambersburg, PA.
Steve was a registered nurse in the mental health field for 30 years. Starting at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Elmira, NY in the early 90’s, to Brook lane in Hagerstown, MD, then to The Chambersburg Hospital
where he retired in 2018 after 20 years of service to begin a new chapter at the VA Medical Center in
Martinsburg, WV. Beyond his licensed role, he extended his care and support to all who crossed his path.
As a son, brother, husband, father, and friend, he exemplified love and understanding. Steve's impact
reached far beyond the walls of the hospital. He was not only a mentor in his profession, but a true beacon of light for those seeking comfort and guidance, leaving a lasting impression of kindness and empathy on all who were fortunate to know him.
Steve had two passions in life, his love for his wife Beth, and his love for cars. Cars ranging from RC,
models, and the classic car community. His baby was his 1972 Plymouth Duster 340, numbers matching (all original), in “Petty Blue” with primer that he started to rebuild himself in the 1990’s. He frequently attended many car shows in the area, from local shows to the Chrysler Nationals in Carlisle, PA.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, grandchildren, brother’s William “Bill” B. Hultman
and wife Lisa of Lakeside, CA and Medford “Med” C. Hultman of San Jose, CA; and multiple nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents Charles “Toby” and Viola
Hultman, and Medford A. and Esther Champlin.
A memorial services will be held on Thursday, March 21st, 2024 at 4:30 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave Hagerstown, MD. 21742.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday one hour prior to the service.
