Sue Ellen Jeter

Sue Ellen Jeter, 70, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2025. She was born on December 15, 1954, the daughter of the late William E. Jamison, Jr. and Hilda J. (Fraley) Jamison.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, William R. Jamison, and her husband, James E. Jeter.

Sue grew up in Hagerstown and graduated from South Hagerstown High School in 1972. She found joy in the simple, everyday moments of life. A visit to the shops was always a delight—whether she was browsing for herself or choosing gifts for others. More than anything, she cherished quiet time at home with her beloved dogs, Joey, Peanut, and Niki, and her longtime companion, Ted Rupp.

Along with Ted, Sue is survived by her brother, Jeffrey L. Jamison of Madeira Beach, FL; her sister, Dinah K. Stevens of Sharpsburg, MD; and several dear nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Rest Haven Cemetery, 1601 Pennsylvania Avenue, Hagerstown, MD 21742, with a  private viewing one hour prior. Pastor Kevin Smoot will be officiating.
