Summer Mann Nemir

November 7, 1949 — September 24, 2019

Summer Sidney Melody Mann Nemir, 69, of Hagerstown, passed away September 24, 2019.
She was born in Washington D.C. on November 7, 1949 and adopted by the late Dr. Geoffrey T. and Ann Mann.
Summer was the middle sister to siblings Ann and Geoff and raised in Richmond , VA where she would eventually meet and marry her husband of 17 years Dr. Michael Nemir. The couple moved to Hagerstown in 1977 where Summer would continue to indulge her passion for theater which began in her college years at Wingate Univ in NC. She was involved with local Hagerstown theater group The Potomac Playmakers for decades, as an actress and director, also serving on the board.
Summer enjoyed to cook and entertain and whether or not she was the hostess, she was always the life of the party. She had a beaming smile that lit up a room and always made everyone feel at ease. Her warm disposition was welcoming and her silly sense of humor disarming. Summer was the beautiful and loving mother of three daughters, MaryLou Humphrey, Christina Nemir and Andrea Nemir, all of Hagerstown. She was devoted to her daughters and also her lifelong friends whom she called family.
Friends and family are welcome at 13240 Club Road in Hagerstown on Saturday November 9 from 1-5pm to celebrate and honor a life that will truly be missed.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made In her Memory to: The Childrens Tumor Foundation . It is an organization dedicated to finding a cure for NF that has deep meaning for Summer and her family. https://www.ctf.org/ Childrens Tumor Foundation
