Susan Elaine Stine

Susan E. Stine, 63, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away at her home on May 16, 2025.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Douglas A. Stine of Hagerstown, MD; 2 children, son Derek A. Stine, and wife Olga, of Williamsburg, MI, and daughter, Samantha S. Bohle, and husband Daniel, of Sharpsburg, MD. She is also survived by 2 grandsons, Austin & Anton, and 2 brothers, John R. Rogers, and wife Clara, of Palm Desert, CA and Steven L. Rogers, and wife Rita, of Trappe, MD. Susan is also survived by multiple nieces and nephews.

Susan is preceded in death by her parents, Donald L. Rogers and Mary J. Rogers, and her sister, Donna Rogers.

Sue was most recently the CFO of the Washington County Commission on Aging and was previously in accounting roles at Coffman Nursing Home and Williamsport Retirement Village. She ran the office at Stine’s Alignment with her husband for more than 20 years. She was well known for trusted expertise and accountability throughout her career.

She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Saturday Nite Kruisers classic car club. Sue was an avid race fan and traveler. She grew up in southern California and experienced the vastness of the desert, but made her home in Hagerstown with the love of her life, Doug, whom she met at 17 and married for 44 years. Sue was not only Doug’s biggest racing fan for over 35 years, she was his crew chief for over 20 years. They’ve appreciated, owned and restored classic cars throughout their life together. She was not afraid to get under the car and change the gears on race day; the garage was her second home. When not at the races, she could be found traveling, especially to see her family and make memories with her grandsons. Sue enjoyed being at the beach and under a palm tree; this is where she felt the most relaxed. She loved experiencing the world with her husband and followed her son around Europe. She welcomed new relatives to the family with an open heart and a full plate. She attended all the sports, celebrated all the wins and softened all the hardships. She devoted her life to her husband, kids, grandkids and her beloved German Shepherd, Savage. She loved her family with a fierce devotion only a mother and grandmother can show and will forever be missed.

 Funeral services will be private.

Donations can be made in her name to Washington County Commission on Aging.
