SYLVIA ELAINE (WOLF) KLINE PASSED AWAY UNTO THE LOVING ARMS OF OUR HEAVENLYY FATHER ON FRIDAY, 9/23/22 AT HER HOME.

SHE WAS BORN ON JUNE 2, 1936 IN HAGERSTOWN, MD.  SHE WAS THE DAUGHTER OF THE LATE BARR WOLF AND LILLIAN (KNEPPER) HOFFMAN.

SYLVIA WAS A GRADUATE OF NORTH HAGERSTOWN HIGH SCHOOL AND WAS WELL KNOWN FOR BEING THE HEAD MAJORETTE OF THE BAND!  AFTER GRADUATION SHE WORKED AS A TELEPHONE OPERATOR AT THE HAGERSTOWN PHONE COMPANY UNTIL SHE MARRIED ROBERT E. KLINE IN 1957.  THEY HAD RECENTLY CELEBRATED THEIR (65TH) WEDDING ANNIVERSARY ON JANUARY 2, 2022.

IN LATE 1960, SYLVIA BEGAN A VERY SUCCESSFUL CAREER WITH SARAH COVENTRY JEWELRY CO. AND TRAVELED THE USA AND EXPERIENCED MANY ADVENTURES.  SHE RETIRED AS AN AREA MANAGER IN EARLY 1980.  AT THAT TIME, SHE DECIDED TO OPEN A VERY UNIQUE GIFT SHOP CALLED, ‘LOTS O’ THINGS’ LOCATED OFF THE DUAL HIGHWAY.  WITHIN A COUPLE YEARS, SHE GREW THE BUSINESS AND RE-LOCATED TO THE TOP OF THE VALLEY MALL IN HAGERSTOWN AND INCORPORATED ‘LOTS O’ KITES’.  BOTH SHE AND HER HUSBAND WERE ALSO RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ANNUAL KITE DISPLAYS AT THE FREDERICK TOWNE MALL.  UPON ‘RETIRING’ FROM THE GIFT SHOP WORLD, SYLVIA THEN STARTED A PET SITTING SERVICE CALLED ‘LOTS O’ CARE’ WHICH SHE WORKED IN ADDITION TO VARIOUS FLOWER SHOPS ALONG THE WAY.

SYLVIA WAS A LIFE LONG MEMBER OF FIRST CHRISTIAN CHURCH IN HAGERSTOWN, MD.  SHE WAS ALSO A MEMBER OF THE AMERICAN LEGION POST 42 FOR MANY YEARS.

SHE WAS AN AVID COLLECTOR OF ANTIQUES AND FREQUENTED MANY AUCTIONS.  SHE LOVED ANYTHING ROY ROGERS, THE OLD WESTERN TV SHOWS, JOHNNY CASH, RAY CHARLES AND TOM JONES.   
SHE HAD AN IMPRESSIVE CLOWN COLLECTION, JEWELRY AND LOVED COPPER KETTLES.
ONE OF HER FAVORITE ACTIVITIES WAS TO CUSTOMIZE/CREATE PET CARDS FOR HER FAMILY AND FRIENDS PETS.  GIVE HER A PICTURE OF YOUR PET AND YOU’D GET A TREASURED CREATION FOR ALL MEMORIES!

SYLVIA ENJOYED TIME WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS AND HELD A SPECIAL PLACE IN HER HEART FOR HER GRANDCHILDREN AND GREAT GRANDCHILDREN.  IN FACT,  FOR EACH GRANDCHILD, SHE DESIGNATED A DAY OF FUN ON THEIR RESPECTIVE BIRTHDAYS EVERY YEAR UNTIL THEY REACHED THE AGE OF 18.
IN ADDITION TO BEING AN AVID ANIMAL ACTIVIST.

SYLIVA IS SURVIVED BY HER DAUGHTER, BAMBI KLINE-BOUTELLE, HUSBAND RICHARD S. BOUTELLE, JR, DAUGHTERS-IN-LAW THERESA (GILL) KLINE, CRYSTAL (MCCOY) KLINE AND GRANDCHILDREN NICHOLAS KLINE, ALEX KLINE, JILLIAN (KLINE) ROUILLARD, JACI (KLINE) GRIMM, TIA KLINE, JAREN KLINE PLUS (12) GREAT GRANDCHILDREN.  SYLVIA WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER HUSBAND ROBERT E. KLINE AND BOTH HER SONS, GUY S. KLINE AND ROBERT E. KLINE, JR RESPECTIVELY.

SYLVIA WAS A FUN-LOVING, TALENTED, CREATIVE, BEAUTIFUL PERSON.  SHE LOVED HER CATS, A GOOD POKER GAME SLOT MACHINES AND CREATING PERSONALIZED, THOUGHTFUL GIFTS FOR FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

A VISITATION FOR FAMILY AND FRIENDS WILL BE HELD ON MONDAY, 10/3/2022 FROM 6-8 P.M. AT REST HAVEN FUNERAL HOME, 1601 PENNSYLVANIA AVE., HAGERSTOWN.
A PRIVATE BURIAL WILL BE HELD AT ROSE HILL CEMETARY IN HAGERSTOWN, MD.

FAMILY REQUESTS IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS MAY BE MADE TO DOEYS’ HOUSE 11370 CARING PATHWAY LANE, HAGERSTOWN, MD 21742 AND/OR WASHINGTON COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY 13011 MAUGANSVILLE ROAD, HAGERSTOWN, MD  21740.
