Terry Lee Hose, Sr.
October 11, 1951 — March 24, 2019
Terry Lee Hose, Sr., 67, of Hagerstown, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at his home, surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born October 11, 1951 in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Sylvester Franklin Hose, and Hilda Jane (Bowers) Hose.
He attended South Hagerstown High School.
He had been employed at Kim's Korner in his early teens. He then worked at Garden State Tannery as a foreman until his retirement.
Terry was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Alsatia Club, Elks Club 378, Funkstown American Legion 211 and the FOP.
Terry enjoyed coaching baseball with his son; being a member of the North Hagerstown High Hub band boosters with his daughters; leading the youth Fellowship groups at Grace United Methodist Church; traveling and vacationing with his family, along with attending and supporting his sons college and professional baseball career. He also loved taking cruises with his wife.
In addition to his loving wife of 45 years, Carol Lee (Jenkins) Hose, he is also survived by two daughters, Charissa and Charlena Hose; son, Terry Lee "TJ" Hose, Jr. and his wife Casey; two sisters, Airy Shifflett and Carrie Diane Schiano DiCola, all of Hagerstown; three brothers, Doug Hose Sr. (Joyce) of Williamsport, Jerry Lee Hose, Sr. (Sue) and Paul Eugene Hose of Hagerstown; four grandchildren, Zane Austin Linwood Taulton, James Emerson Butts, Jr., Keira Marie Archie and Atlee Grace Hose; two sister-in-laws, Cheryl Ann Kataline, Charlene Kay Gearhart and numerous nephews and nieces.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Sylvester Franklin Hose, Jr., two sisters, Catherine Tracey, Vickie Kirk; and a brother-in-law, John Robert Kataline.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at Grace United Methodist Church, Hagerstown, with Pastor Margaret Clemons officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5-8pm on Wednesday at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 PA Ave., Hagerstown.
