Warren Thomas McElroy

Warren (Mac) Thomas McElroy, 75, of Hagerstown, Md., passed away Sunday April 2, 2023, at Meritus Hospital. Born Wednesday, December 3, 1947, in Baltimore, Md, he was the son of the late Norris and Margaret (Stratmeyer) McElroy.

Mac was a proud resident of 11 years in Hagerstown, Maryland. He was a professional photographer and salesman. His recent sales experience was at Lowe’s where he took pride in helping people in the hardware and tools section. As an avid model railroader, Mac’s Christmas village with several model trains was the talk of the town and Mac’s pride and joy. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force with active service in the Vietnam war era.

Mr. McElroy is survived by his loving wife Vicky (Moore) McElroy of 50 years, son Jason and wife Laura (May), and grandchildren, Sarah, and Jacob.

In honor of Mr. McElroy, a memorial service will be held on Monday, April 10, 2023, at 2:30 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Avenue, Hagerstown with Rev. Christopher Moore officiating.

Friends will be received on the same day at the funeral home on Monday from 1-2:30 P.M. and 4:30-6:30 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Warren McElroy to VA Healthcare system or the American Heart Association in Martinsburg WV.
