Wesley Eugene Hardy, 89, of Hagerstown, passed away at home surrounded by family on Wednesday, May 12, 2021.
Born on April 8, 1932 in Hagerstown, Wesley was the son of the late George Wesley and Madeline (Bussard) Hardy. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Linda Livering; his brothers, Richard Hardy and Elwood Hardy; and his uncle, James Hardy.
Wesley graduated from Boonsboro High School in 1950 and worked for LaFarge Holcim as a Store Room Supervisor for 61 years. He served as an Assistant Scout Master for Boy Scouts Troop 55. He was also an avid bowler.
Wesley is survived by his sons, Kenny Hardy and his wife, Ginger; Ronald Hardy and his wife, Amy; and Jeffrey Hardy and his wife, Rhiannon; his daughters, Cheryl Miller; Kathy Wilt and her husband, Craig; and Pamela Davis and her husband, Junior. He is also survived by twenty eight grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
The family would like to extend their appreciation and thanks to John Mowbray and Kathy Burnside for all of their help and support for Wesley.
A Funeral Service will be held at Rest Haven Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Reinhardt Stander officiating. Committal will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the Funeral Home on Monday from 5:00-7:00 PM.
