Winifred Eloise Koskela

Winifred Eloise Koskela, 85, of Hagerstown, passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at Somerford Place.
Born on April 24, 1935 in Harman, WV, Eloise was the daughter of the late William Theodore and Nellie Elizabeth (Hinkle) Day. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Bernier; her second husband, John Koskela; and her brothers, Ken Day and Kelly Day.
Eloise had a feisty personality and loved going to auctions, Bingo, and playing the slots at Charlestown. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Eloise is survived by her daughters, Debra Bernier-Davis and Pamela Ricker; her sons, Robert Bernier, Peter Bernier, and Dennis Bernier; and her stepson, John Koskela. She is also survived by her brother, William Day; her sister, Peg Disney; ten grand children; three great grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Eloise's name to Hospice of Washington County at https://hospiceofwc.org/
